Reading List

Here's my theory about books:

I love them!  Everything about them is delicious... how they look and feel and smell is compeling.  I must admit I am addicted.  A good book can swallow me in a single gulp.  I can be transported, touched to tears, or shocked by epiphany.  Books feed me spiritually and intellectually, and of course, entertain me... they begin, and end, my day.

I usually rise at about 4:00 AM.  Some might think me noble for this, and others crazy, but I am naturally a "go to bed at 8:00 PM and get up eight hours later" kind of person.  It's just how I'm wired.  Boring!

I start the day with a devotional time, a full bodied cup of coffee with rich cream, and a chunk of very dark chocolate. Yum!  (my doctor will be horrified to read this.)

"A truly good book teaches me better than to read it. I must soon lay it down, and commence living on its hint. What I began by reading, I must finish by acting."
                                                         Henry David Thoreau
